Journalist Claims United Are ‘Already In Talks’ To Sign Monaco Star

TF1 journalist Julien Maynard claims that Manchester United are one of three teams interested in signing Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile.

The Red Devils have been linked with the 19-year-old in the past but the French TV reporter took to Twitter to say that the Manchester club are “already in talks” about signing the centre-back, along with Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen:

Maynard mentions that Monaco have already turned down a €15m (£13.5m) offer from Leverkusen for Badiashile so it remains to be seen whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will make a higher formal bid of their own.

The France Under 19 international is yet another left-footed centre-half, which is becoming a theme among the players being linked with United in recent weeks.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the club have tabled an offer for Lille’s Gabriel Magalhaes, while there is said to be interest in signing Villarreal’s Pau Torres.
