Manchester United and Juventus have initiated contact with Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Longari.
The reporter also claims that Manchester City are interested in the Swiss international, whilst the likes of Arsenal and Roma have made enquiries recently:

Zakaria’s contract at Gladbach expires in the summer, so the 24-year-old would undoubtedly be a cost-effective solution to United’s problems in the middle of the park.
The Red Devils could either try to snap up the player on a cut-price deal during the January transfer window or wait until the summer to sign him on a free transfer.
As Longari points out, though, there is a lot of competition for Zakaria, mainly due to his contract situation, but United would be able to offer the midfielder regular first team football, with the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic having struggled at times this season
