Journalist Claims 30M Rated South American Star “Would Be Open” To United Switch

Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo “would be open” to joining Manchester United this summer, according to journalist Jonathan Shrager.

The reporter claims that the Ecuadorian’s family are supporters of the club and, while the Red Devils have not made an offer yet, Caicedo is interested in making the move to Old Trafford:

A whole host of other teams have also been linked with Caicedo in recent days, including Arsenal, West Ham, Liverpool and Chelsea, but Brighton are not interested in selling the player.

There have been some reports that the Seagulls would be willing to offload the 20-year-old for around £20m to £30m but those claims haven’t been backed up by reliable sources.

After raising the best part of £90m from the sales of Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella, Brighton are under no pressure to sell Caicedo so, if United do press ahead with a bid before the transfer window shuts, a substantial fee will be required to secure his signature.
