Jose Mourinho Opens Up About The Mood In Manchester United’s Dressing Room

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes that despite the disruption of the international break, the good feelings after the comeback win against Newcastle remain.

The Portuguese boss is hoping the dramatic second-half fightback will energise his players heading into the Premier League clash against Chelsea tomorrow:

“I felt that after the match [against Newcastle] then you say it looks an eternity they go and they come and they come back step by step and even today we don’t have every player back.”

“So is a bit strange when you come from the international week but I think the feelings of the last match remain so the players are fine, are happy and focused on the match.”

United head into the match with some injury concerns and the swift turnaround from international football into an early Saturday afternoon kickoff won’t help matters.

However, Chelsea will be in the same boat, and the game at Stamford Bridge is likely to be a tightly contested affair.

United will want to close the gap on the Blues who have a seven-point advantage going into the game. A win would certainly build momentum heading into a crucial stage of the season.

The Manchester club have a doubleheader against Juventus, as well as games against Everton, Bournemouth and the Manchester derby coming in the next month.
