Jose Mourinho hilariously trolls Chelsea goalkeeper

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at rivals Chelsea by trolling Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

The stopper was at fault for Croatia’s opener during Argentina’s embarrassing defeat at the hands of Croatia, who disposed of Jorge Sampaoli’s men 3-0.

However, the game was all level until the former Manchester City ‘keeper attempted to chip the ball over Ante Rebic, only for the Croat to volley the ball over his head and into the back of the net – inspiring the Croatian’s and flattening the Argentine’s who now find themselves in real trouble within their group.

Caballero is between the sticks due to an injury to Manchester United’s No.2 Sergio Romero just before the tournament, and has now been shaky in both of Argentina’s opening World Cup games. It seems the veteran’s time in goal for the national side could be up, with him in line to be dropped for the final group game with Nigeria – a must win.

Mourinho, whose father was a goalkeeper and son briefly played in goal for Fulham’s academy, compared Caballero’s goalkeeping to his own style, saying: “Cabellero in goal, or myself, would be the same – because I would save the same as Cabellero…”

After Argentina’s 1-1 draw with Iceland last week, Mourinho was also critical of the goalkeeper.

“One chance, one goal, Caballero in goal or myself would be the same because I would save the same as Caballero,” Mourinho told Russia Today during his analysis of Argentina’s stalemate with Iceland. “There was not one single dangerous situation.”
