James Ducker Names The SEVEN United Players Who Could Be Axed As Club Seek Funds For Two New Signings

Manchester United are prepared to sell up to seven players before the transfer window closes, according to the Daily Telegraph‘s James Ducker.

The journalist, who is usually reliable when it comes to the Red Devils, claims that the Manchester club are keen to balance the books before going after two more signings.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to snap up Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier and a central midfielder, but those deals are dependent on outgoings with the aim to keep the net spend close to £100m.

The highest-profile names available are Paul Pogba (who looks unlikely to sign a new deal), Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot, with Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, Andreas Pereira and Facundo Pellestri also on the chopping block.

A price tag of £50m has been placed on the head of Pogba, with Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested, while Lingard is available for £30m. West Ham were keen to sign the Englishman on a permanent basis but United’s valuation may put them off so another suitor may be required.

AC Milan are keen on Dalot, with Tuanzebe reportedly being targeted by Newcastle. Williams is in Southampton’s sights while Pereira and Pellestri have clubs in Italy and Spain pursuing them.
