“I’ve Just Got A Suspicion…” Journalist Claims United Could Revive Interest In Ex Chelsea Star

Manchester United could be considering a move for Roma striker Tammy Abraham, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

The reporter claims that the Red Devils did weigh up a potential offer for the former Chelsea player during the January transfer window and they may decide to reignite their interest:

“I’ve just got a suspicion they might try and get Tammy Abraham out of Roma. He was someone that I think they looked at in January.”

Reports in the Italian media have suggested that Roma won’t let Abraham leave for less than €100m (£86m), which is the same figure that is believed to have stopped United from making an approach for Darwin Nunez.

With that being the case, it does seem rather unlikely that Erik ten Hag’s side would be planning a bid for the England international, especially when the club are focusing their efforts on strengthening other areas of the pitch.

Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong is the top target as United look to reinforce their midfield options, while Ajax’s Jurrien Timber remains the favourite as the club seek to add another centre-back.
