“I’ve Just Checked My Emails…” Sporting Director Reveals Whether United Have Made 105M Bid

Eintrack Frankfurt’s Head of Football Timmo Hardung has denied claims that Manchester United have tabled a €120m (£105m) offer for Randal Kolo Muani.

It was reported in the German media that the Red Devils were planning to make an approach for the Frenchman but Hardung says he has not received any formal proposal yet:

“So far – I’ve just checked my emails again – nothing has arrived, at least not with m… In the end, it’s not my decision alone. But yes, it’s an awful a lot of money for a player – even in that category.”

Muani has been linked with moves to a number of teams over the past few months, with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool having also been mentioned as potential suitors for the striker after his impressive performances this season.

The 24-year-old actually joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer, and he has since gone on to score 16 goals and contribute 14 assists in 34 appearances.

Even so, the nine-figure fee suggested does seem a bit excessive, especially considering Muani has only had one standout season in the Bundesliga. You would have to think that United will prioritise other targets.
