‘It’s a big dilemma for Jose’ ‘It’s Nonsense’ – Fans React As Sky Sports Pundit Tells Striker To Leave United

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford scored for the second consecutive game for England in the 1-0 friendly win over Switzerland last night.

The 20-year-old played up top alongside Danny Welbeck at the King Power Stadium, while he also scored against Spain in the Nations League at the weekend.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher thinks Rashford may have to leave Old Trafford in order to get more game time as a striker at club level:

“Does he have to leave United? I think so. Is he good enough to displace Lukaku? Is Rashford good enough to be Manchester United’s centre-forward for them trying to win the Premier League or the Champions League? He may not be.”

“It gets to the stage where you want to play every week. Will he be an England regular or be Manchester United’s real centre-forward where you know when the team is picked every week, that he is in it. Will it ever get to that stage?”

Fans on Twitter got into an intense debate about the former Liverpool defender’s remarks:

Rashford started up front in the opening day win against Leicester City in the absence of Romelu Lukaku, but he has had to settle for a place on the bench for subsequent league games against Brighton, Spurs and Burnley.

The majority of his 126 games for United have come as a striker, but the forward has certainly had less game time through the middle since the arrival of Lukaku at the club.
