Is this Jose Mourinho’s dream Manchester United XI for next season?

Manchester United are set for a busy summer, with Jose Mourinho reportedly eyeing three more signings on top of the two he has already made.

United completed deals for both Fred (£52 million) and Diogo Dalot (£19 million) prior to the World Cup from Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto respectively.

However after a difficult, and trophy-less, last campaign, Mourinho is keen to make further additions to his squad as he looks to mount a challenge for the Premier League title next term.

United are understood to be working on moves for both Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld and Chelsea star Willian, both of whom fell out of favour at their respective clubs last year.

Alderweireld is widely expected to leave Spurs this summer after having his spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s side taken away from him by youngster Davinson Sanchez.

Willian too is understood to want to leave Chelsea after a high profile fall-out with Blues manager Antonio Conte, and the Brazilian would favour a re-union with his former manager Jose Mourinho, the duo having maintained a strong relationship since Mourinho’s departure from Stamford Bridge in 2015.

United are likely to have to pay in excess of £40 million each for both players, however have the financial clout to match such demands, and would likely fund any moves with the sale of either or both of Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini.

The Express now report Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng is on United’s radar, with the former Manchester City star keen on a return to the Premier League after seven successful seasons at the Allianz Arena.

Could this be how United line-up next season if they land their reported targets? Title challengers, surely?
