Bayern Munich are interested in signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, according to reports in the German media.
The 25-year-old’s contract expires in 2024, and the Bundesliga champions are keeping tabs on the player’s situation to see whether he signs a new deal at Old Trafford.
A free transfer at the end of the next season is seen as more likely than a bid this summer but United fans on Twitter are hoping that Rashford snubs overtures from Bayern and commits his long-term future to the Red Devils:

He’s the closest thing to a die hard United supporter playing for the club. He’s never leaving, especially not with new owners on the way and Erik ten Hag’s revolution just getting started.

Rashford’s outstanding form means he is in a perfect position to negotiate on his own terms. With the likes of Bayern (and Paris Saint-Germain) circling, his agents can use the interest to their advantage.
Protracted negotiations are, therefore, inevitable, with Rashford likely seeking a sizeable pay rise on the £200,000 a week he is currently earning. Reports about other teams pursuing the player will persist as long as he doesn’t pen to paper on a contract extension.
