‘I’m A Big Fan’ – Shearer Explains Why He Has Such High Hopes For Manchester United Ace

TV pundit Alan Shearer believes Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has all the attributes to become a world class player.

The former Newcastle striker believes the 21-year-old could become a “sensation” over the next few years if he maintains his current level of performances:

“I’m a big fan of this guy. I think in three or four years time this man could be a sensation. I have that hope for him because I think that he can offer a bit of everything.”

“If you want him to come short and take a turn and run at people, he can do that. Or if you want him going the other way, he can do that also.”

“I think in three or four years time this man could be a sensation. Trickery, pace, touch, I think it’s all there and it is getting better and better.”

Rashford has been excellent following the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager at United.

Since being selected to play as a central striker by the Norwegian in his first match in charge against Cardiff City, the forward has scored six goals and provided two assists in eight league appearances.

Before Solskjaer’s arrival, Rashford had managed just three goals in his opening 13 league matches of the campaign.

Fans will now be hoping that the talented striker maintains his excellent form between now and the end of the season in order to help secure a top-four finish.

Next up for Rashford’s United is a trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
