Ighalo And Fernandes To Start, McTominay On The Bench: United’s Predicted Line Up To Face Watford

Manchester United are now just three points away from the top four heading into this weekend’s fixtures, and considering how erratic the Red Devils have been this season, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be delighted.

The Norwegian has been favouring three at the back recently, and that system will likely be utilised again this weekend against Watford. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to come back into the side in place of Diogo Dalot, while Eric Bailly could replace Victor Lindelof after starring against Chelsea on Monday.

In midfield, Bruno Fernandes will almost certainly get his place back in the line up after the likes of Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard failed to impress versus Club Brugge. Scott McTominay is back in contention after a knee injury but he may have to settle for a spot on the bench, with Fred and Nemanja Matic keeping their places.

Up front, Odion Ighalo is in line for his first start. Solskjaer needs a greater goalscoring threat than Dan James in order to break down the Hornets, and the Nigerian could be picked alongside Anthony Martial in a two-man strikeforce.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Watford:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Williams, Matic, Fernandes, Fred, Martial, Ighalo
