“If I Had The Chance…” 51M Rated Ligue One Ace Drops Big Transfer Hint Amid Links To United And Chelsea

Lille forward Jonathan David has revealed he is very much open to joining a “bigger club” in the future.

The Canadian international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League over the past year, with both Manchester United and Chelsea having been suggested as potential suitors recently. When asked about his future plans, David replied:

“The next step is always growing, having more ambition maybe a bigger club I think. Everyone wants to play for a massive club in their life. So if I had the chance to do it I would go for it, for sure.”

David has been in excellent form for Lille this campaign, having scored nine times in 12 Ligue One appearances, but there is an assumption that he will be sold if his club receive an acceptable offer.

An asking price of around €60m (£51m) has been mentioned in the past but whether his recent good form will lead Lille to increase their valuation of the player, we shall have to wait and see.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo has been reintegrated into the first-team squad, following the incident against Tottenham, the feeling is that the 37-year-old won’t remain at Old Trafford for much longer. David will likely be among the options considered to replace the Portuguese legend.
