“If Chelsea Aren’t Too Greedy…” Journalist Claims United Could Still Make Move For One Of Ten Hag’s Key Targets

There is still a possibility that Manchester United will make a move for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech before the transfer window shuts, according to France Football journalist Nabil Djellit.

It had been reported that United’s board had blocked Erik ten Hag’s attempts to sign the Moroccan, but Djellit says the player remains a “priority” and a deal could be agreed as long as “if Chelsea aren’t too greedy.”

Ten Hag is seemingly keen to have people around him he has worked with before and Ziyech was one of his standout players during his time at Ajax.

However, the 29-year-old has struggled somewhat since moving to Chelsea. Some have argued that he hasn’t been afforded enough starting opportunities by Thomas Tuchel but 14 goals and 10 assists in 83 appearances isn’t particularly impressive for a winger. It will be hoped that, if he does arrive at Old Trafford, ten Hag can get the best out of him.
