Ian Wright Names The TWO Juventus Stars That United Should Ask For In Pogba Negotiations

Ian Wright believes Manchester United should look to get Juventus centre-back duo Merih Demiral and Matthijs De Ligt in exchange for Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola has revealed that the midfielder is keen on leaving Old Trafford, with Juve tipped to be one of the leading contenders to sign the player.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici has already stated that they would welcome Pogba back to the Serie A champions, and Wright thinks United should look to get two promising young players as part of any transfer:

“You know what I’d do if I was United? Because it looks like they are going to sell Pogba. If I’m United now, I’m going in and saying, ‘You know what? Give us De Ligt, give us Demiral’, those kind of players. Those young players.”

It is an interesting take but it must be pointed out that Pogba only has 18 months remaining on his contract. His value is expected to depreciate with some reports suggesting that United may only demand £40m for the France international.

With that being the case, Juventus would probably be only prepared to exchange one player. With De Ligt having cost the club an initial €75m, you would think the likeliest player out of the two to be offloaded would be Demiral.
