“I Will Perhaps Have To Change Clubs” Sevilla Star Puts United On Red Alert As He Signals Desire To Leavve

Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has suggested he is open to leaving the Spanish club this summer if the right opportunity comes along.

The Frenchman says he would be keen on moving away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, stating that he harbours ambitions of playing for one of Europe’s biggest teams:

“Regarding my future, it’s certain that I will perhaps have to change clubs this summer. But nothing has been finalised yet. I have not decided anything. My goal is to play for a big club, to try to always progress and to win trophies. It’s true that I might have to move but that’s not relevant today.”

Kounde is on Manchester United’s list of transfer targets, with Arsenal and Chelsea also said to be keen on the 23-year-old, but Sevilla are likely to drive a hard bargain if a club makes a formal offer for the player.

The centre-half is believed to have a €80m (£69m) release clause, and while his team may not hold out for that much, he is unlikely to leave for anything less than £50m.

Some reports in the English media indicate that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have £150m to spend this summer, so we shall see if he chooses to use some of it on Kounde.
