Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is now likely to stay at Old Trafford and sign a new contract, according to the United We Stand Editor Andy Mitten.
The France international will have one year remaining on his current deal in the summer and it was widely expected that he would be sold, with the likes of Juventus interested in signing the player.
However, Mitten, a respected journalist, suggests a u-turn on Pogba’s future is imminent and supporters on Twitter are very happy with the development:
I hope to god this is true and that he signs

If he does stay less headache trying to replace him and we can focus on other areas of the pitch ??

If he does then I hope it shows people that he really does have passion for United. He can just leave for a leave to win trophies

The United PR team will milk the hell out of this if it happens. They'll treat it like a new signing

I think I'd like him to stay because we are play dead without him and it's just depressing to watch and when pogba got injured are formed went down so this can't be a bad thing

There are likely to be multiple factors in play here. Winning trophies at United is now more likely than it has ever been since Pogba re-joined the club.
You also have to consider the financial impact of the global health crisis which has undoubtedly reduced the likelihood of clubs like Juventus being able to afford Pogba’s wages. Both the football and the finances are pointing towards the player remaining at Old Trafford.
