Manchester United are still trying to get Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele on loan, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are said to be locked in talks with the player’s agent and Barca as they look to secure the Frenchman’s signature before the transfer window shuts on Monday night:
Talks between Manchester United and Barcelona for Ousmane Démbélé are still on – as also with his agent. #MUFC are still trying to get him on loan.
Koeman: “His future depends on what he thinks. I haven't spoken to him about his future. We'll see". [@HagridFCB]. ? #transfers

Many supporters on Twitter were hoping that United were preparing one final attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and they are not best pleased that the Manchester club are focusing on Dembele instead:
I give up with this club

Considering Dembele’s injury record, it would be a big risk to sign him, but that would be mitigated slightly if they manage to secure the 23-year-old on a loan deal.
There is growing frustration among the fanbase about United’s inability to complete deals swiftly. Reports suggest a move for Porto’s Alex Telles has also hit the buffers, and with the club having only signed Donny van de Beek so far, not many are optimistic about the team’s chances in the Premier League this season.
