How Manchester United Could Line-Up Next Season

With all the speculation about United’s manager for next season who knows what will happen but we think LVG will still be the man. With these reports in mind and other rumours, we speculate on how United are going to line up next season with a few additions.

Keeper – David De Gea

Although he has once again been linked with a move to Real Madrid, we expect United to manage to keep David De Gea for at least one more season and should that happen, he will be a key player for the club next season under whoever is manager.

Right back – Kenny Tete

Tete has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the last few weeks. The Red devils are said to have been discussing with the 20-year-old defender and could be signing him this summer. The defender who only recently made his international debut for the Netherlands has rejected Ajax’s offer of a new contract which is further prove that he could be at Old Trafford in the summer. Should United sign him, we expect him to make the right back position his.

Left back – Luke Shaw

The former Southampton star has been out of action still September due to a broken leg injury he suffered in the Champions League clash against PSV. He is however back to training and if he can come back to his best after missing nine months of action, he will be a sure starter for the Red devils next season.

Centre back – Mats Hummels

Many centre backs have been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent time but we honestly believe the Red devils will end up signing Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels. The world cup winner has hinted he could be on his way out of the Bundesliga this summer and we strongly believe his next destination will be Old Trafford.

Centre back – Chris Smalling

He is now a regular feature in the Red devils side and we believe he will form a solid partnership with Mats Hummels or whoever United decides to bring in.

Central defensive midfield – Morgan Schneridelin

The former Southampton star has settled down well at old Trafford and unless someone better than him is signed this summer which is unlikely, Schneiderlin will continue as United’s first choice defensive midfielder.

Central Midfield – Renato Sanches

With Michael Carrick’s deal unlikely to be renewed, there is a real chance that Renato Sanches will be United’s box to box/deep lying midfielder next season. Reports claim the Portuguese has agreed to sign for the Red devils and if true, we expect the youngster to be a mainstay in Jose Mourinho/Louis Van Gaal’s team next season.

Right wing Jesse Lingard

Many people fear Jose Mourinho may discard many of United’s youngsters in favour of big money signings, however, we at Manunews.com strongly believe Jesse Lingard will play a major part in United’s campaign both in the Premier league and in Europe ( if they make it ).

Left wing – Anthony Martial

After showing flashes of brilliance this season, we expect Martial to be fully settled by next season. A proper pre-season with United will also go a long way. We expect the Frenchman to be one of the most influential players for United in the Premier league and in Europe next season.

Central attacking midfield – Wayne Rooney

He is a legend at the club and we expect him to be a mainstay in the Red devils’ first eleven next season.

Striker – Zlatan Ibrahimovic

He is out of contract at the end of the current season and reports have it that United are to commence discussions with the former Barca star. Should Ed Woodward manage to convince him to move to United, we expect him to take the Premier league by storm.
