Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Donny van de Beek has an agreement to leave the Dutch club if they receive an acceptable offer this summer.
Manchester United are interested in the 23-year-old after Ajax’s CEO Edwin van der Sar revealed that the Red Devils had made an enquiry about the player.
Ten Hag claims that he is already planning for life without van de Beek, although he is still not 100% sure if the midfielder will leave due to the current financial climate:
“Based on their performance and ambition, a number of our players also want to make the move abroad. Agreements have been made with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico, but it remains to be seen whether the market is indeed breaking loose.”
Supporters on Twitter are calling on United to sign up the Dutch international:

100% it’s Real Madrid. We never make transfers when the window isn’t open

Grealish is coming United

Hope so but from past experience clearly it's not us. We are too incompetent to actually get deals done early.

Van de Beek has had a decent season for Ajax, having scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 37 appearances. He would also be a cheaper alternative to Jack Grealish with the Dutchman reportedly available for around €50m (£46m) to €60m (£55m).
However, the Red Devils do have a policy of signing young, homegrown talent and that may lead to the Manchester club favouring a move for the Aston Villa captain instead.
