Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba’s long recovery from an ankle injury has now been delayed by illness.
The Frenchman has not been able to train for the last few days, according to the Red Devils boss, which means his return date has been pushed back once again:
“Of all things, he’s struck down ill now. He’s been off for two or three days – three days, probably – so that’s not beneficial. That’s probably set him back quite a bit.”
Supporters believe Pogba is looking to leave in the January transfer window and that is the reason behind the latest setback:

It is all purely speculation, at the moment. There have been no official approaches made by other clubs and Solskjaer is insistent that the player will make his comeback before the end of the year.
Even so, Pogba has now not played for over two and a half months. He has reportedly recovered fully from the ankle issue that caused him so much trouble, but the delay in building up his fitness means he could now miss some of the fixtures over Christmas.
