Manchester United winger Tahith Chong is currently in talks over a new contract with the club, but he has been linked with a potential departure from Old Trafford in recent days.
Serie A champions Juventus are said to be keeping tabs on the 19-year-old, and when asked about Chong’s future, his agent Erkan Alkan warned that he could consider moving clubs if the Red Devils’ offer of a new deal is not acceptable:
“It is true that top clubs keep an eye on the situation around Tahith. But it’s still early in the season. We are quietly waiting to see what United will come up with or else we will see what is best for Tahith’s development next summer.”
Supporters on Twitter were not particularly impressed with Alkan’s comments:
He’s not a good as he thinks he is.

Get rid !! Agent making demands at 19 and playing U23 football ?? ?

How united waited and got into this position clearly shows the club isn’t run by people with in-depth football knowledge. If you consider Chong as one for the future you renew his contract with 2 years to run down, not wait for this??♂️??♂️??♂️

Loan him loan him I don't see him getting much playing time plus another Pogba scenario should be avoided

Is his agent for real! Is that how you talk when the player yiu represent is below average!
I’d cut that kid & his agent lose now just to avoid the drama & to make an example of him to the rest of the kids.

Agents generally use the interest of other clubs to get better contracts for their players, but Chong will probably need to do more in order to justify improved terms.
The Dutchman has barely featured for the first team this season, having only made two substitute appearances in the Premier League. His two starts have come against Astana in the Europa League and Rochdale in the Carabao Cup.
