We shall have to wait and see whether that leads to a formal offer for Sancho. Borussia Dortmund are still holding out for €120m (£109m) and it remains to be seen whether a compromise can be reached on the asking price.
Previous reports have claimed that United may well structure a bid including instalments and add-ons which could well satisfy Dortmund’s demands. It is hoped that, once personal terms are finally agreed with the player, an official approach will be made so an agreement over a fee can be reached quickly.
