Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood scored the winning goal as a young Red Devils side won 1-0 against Astana in the Europa League last night.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to start a number of youngsters, including Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Axel Tuanzebe but it was Greenwood who stood out on the night.
The 17-year-old’s skill and composure to slot the ball home after 73 minutes demonstrated the teenager’s abilities and fans on Twitter were full of praise for the player:
He will be a starter very soon

In his press conference today, Solskjaer says it won’t be long before Greenwood gets his first start in the Premier League:
“If he keeps scoring goals when he’s on the pitch he’ll get more minutes in the Premier League as well, and he’ll get his first start [in the league this season] soon.”
Considering Anthony Martial will be out for the game against West Ham with a thigh strain, he could be thrown in at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Solskjaer has gone with Marcus Rashford, Daniel James, Andreas Pereira and Juan Mata as the front four in recent games but Greenwood has a big chance of breaking into the starting line up after last night’s performance.
