Manchester United are interested in Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The 6ft 6 striker was mentioned as a target last month and Plettenberg has confirmed that the Red Devils have held talks with the player’s agent as they consider their options to strengthen the forward line:
❗️News #Kalajdzic: He is a candidate for #MUFC next to Brobbey from Leipzig. Talks with the management from Kalajdzic have taken place but no personal meeting so far. Manchester United is very interesting for him. Bayern and Dortmund are not in. @SkySportDE @Sky_Marc 🇦🇹

As Plettenberg also points out, United are keen on RB Leipzig’s Brian Brobbey as a potential alternative to Kalajdzic so we shall see if the Austrian international ends up becoming the top priority.
The forward is attracting a lot of interest, with Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich having also been credited with an interest over the past couple of months, while Chelsea did consider him as a possible replacement for Oliver Giroud last year.
Kalajdzic has less than a year remaining on his contract so it is not a surprise that teams are battling for his signature. It is believed he could be available for between €20m (£17m) and €25m (£21m) this summer.
