‘He Could Sign For United…’ Report Makes Big Claim About Future Of 38 Cap Portuguese Star

Manchester United are now favourites to secure the signature of Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer, according to Sport.

The Catalan publication claims Barcelona have decided against recruiting the 26-year-old, and they even go on to suggest that “he could sign for United” instead.

Manager Erik ten Hag is believed to be looking at potential options to strengthen the midfield, but there has been more talk about snapping up the likes of West Ham’s Declan Rice, Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and even Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic in recent weeks, rather than Neves.

The Portuguese international, who has been capped 38 times for his country, is expected to leave Molineux at the end of the season, with the player closing in on the final twelve months of his contract.

In addition to United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Neves. From the looks of things, though, the Red Devils are the frontrunners to sign him at the moment.
