Greenwood To Start, Rashford On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Norwich

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick says he was happy with some aspects of the performance against Young Boys, with a young team being fielded in the Champions League dead-rubber. However, he will want to see a bit more life from his senior players when they play Norwich tomorrow.

David De Gea is expected to be named in goal, with Diogo Dalot starting on the right flank after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was injured midweek. With Luke Shaw having played for the first time in 18 days on Wednesday, he may be benched in favour of Alex Telles at left-back.

Raphael Varane is working his way back to fitness but Rangnick has said that the Frenchman won’t be available for selection until next week. It means Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire will keep their places in the centre of defence.

Fred and Scott McTominay did their jobs well in the victory over Crystal Palace last weekend so they will likely remain as the two holding midfielders, with Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho also staying as the roaming number 10s.

There could be a change up front, though. Mason Greenwood impressed versus Young Boys and he deserves a start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, with Marcus Rashford dropping out.
