Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Dean Henderson have all been nominated for the Premier League’s young player of the season.
Henderson’s name has, of course, been put forward based on his performances on loan at Sheffield United this campaign, but all four players do have a case for being awarded the prize.
Chelsea pair Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount have also made the shortlist, in addition to Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish and Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Although Greenwood has certainly burst onto the scene this season, out of United players, it would probably be a toss-up between Rashford and Martial for who is the most deserving, with both having bagged 17 league goals.
Henderson’s excellent displays between the sticks for the Blades, though, can’t be ignored either. This award, unlike the PFA and Football Writer’s Association prizes, is based on votes from fans and you can vote for one of the United stars right here.
