Greenwood And Mata To Start, Lingard And Fred To Miss Out: Manchester United’s Predicted Line Up To Face Arsenal

Manchester United’s injury crisis means manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be forced to name an unfamiliar looking starting line up for the crucial game against Arsenal tomorrow night.

The defence will likely be unchanged from the defeat to West Ham last weekend, with Ashley Young deputising for Luke Shaw with the left-back still recovering from a hamstring injury.

Paul Pogba is a major doubt with a swollen ankle so Juan Mata, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic are likely to continue in the middle of the park, with Fred having failed to impress against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup.

Neither Anthony Martial nor Marcus Rashford are fit to play so Mason Greenwood will be favourite to start as the number nine. Daniel James will line up on the left-hand side, and with very few options, it seems Andreas Pereira could be given the nod ahead of the out of form Jesse Lingard on the right.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Arsenal:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young, McTominay, Mata, Matic, Pereira, Greenwood, James
