Greenwood and Bailly To Start, Rashford And Lindelof On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Palace

It’s always difficult to know how a new manager will set up in his first game in charge and new interim head coach Ralf Rangnick is likely to have different opinions to his predecessor Michael Carrick.

Despite his contribution to Arsenal’s bizarre opening goal on Thursday night, David De Gea will likely keep his place in between the posts when the Red Devils take on Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Rangnick may, however, prefer Eric Bailly to Victor Lindelof due to his pace. The Ivorian could play alongside Harry Maguire in the centre of defence. Alex Telles will continue to deputise for Luke Shaw at left-back, while Diogo Dalot did enough against the Gunners to keep his place ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right flank.

In midfield, Rangnick is not expected to make any changes. Bruno Fernandes scored on Thursday so he is unlikely to be benched for Donny van de Beek, while Nemanja Matic’s injury means Fred and Scott McTominay may retain their places.

Up front, despite his assist for United’s second against Arsenal, Marcus Rashford was rather poor, so Mason Greenwood could be handed a start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Crystal Palace:

De Gea, Dalot, Bailly, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fernandes, Fred, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Sancho
