Manchester United have made an enquiry about signing Bayern Munich fullback Benjamin Pavard, according to reports in the French media.
Chelsea, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the defender, but it is believed that Erik ten Hag’s side were the first ones to make a formal approach.
Despite there being doubts over Pavard’s future at Bayern earlier in the summer, the 26-year-old has now decided to stay at the Allianz Arena and he reportedly isn’t open to a move to United. Fans on Twitter are actually pleased that the Frenchman won’t be making the switch to Old Trafford:

Good not quick enough for the Premier league. Hes fine at Bayern with the way they play and how much they dominate every game in the league but dont think he is a great fit for us.#GlazersOut 🔴⚪⚫🔰🔰🔰

Pavard is an experienced player, having won 45 caps for his country as well as winning the World Cup. However, he isn’t the most attack-minded fullback and there are better options out there on the market.
Reports suggest that United are also interested in Barcelona’s Sergino Dest, Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries and Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier.
