Manchester United are trying to sign Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara before the transfer window closes, according to reports in Spain.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford in the summer, when he will be available on a free, but the transfer could be brought forward by six months.
Supporters on Twitter are hoping that a move for Kamara can be sorted out, although not everyone is convinced that the Red Devils will get the deal over the line:
Get it done quickly and sell the 3 players that want to go. We can’t be dithering again

If true (which we all low-key hope it is) he’s a great ball winner, can pay as a sole no. 6, all the things we need…that’s according to his fbref report

I really like this guy, but still think that Rice is a better option for PL

I’ll believe it when he is holding up that famous red shirt. at the moment we are just monitoring fc as usual. until someone else signs him up

Marseille are reportedly holding out for around £10m to sell Kamara this month, but it remains to be seen whether United would agree to pay that much for a player who can be snapped up for nothing in July.
The 22-year-old has also been linked with Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle, among other teams, in recent weeks and it would be a great piece of business by United if they do manage to secure his signature.
