‘Get It Done Already’ ‘A Huge Upgrade If True’ Fans React As Report Claims United Will Make January Swoop For Spurs Playmaker

Manchester United will look to revive their move for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in January, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils were offered the Danish international in the summer but the 27-year-old was said to be keener on a move to Real Madrid. However, with a move to Spain having failed to materialise, United could look to make another bid when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Fans on Twitter believe that Eriksen would be a perfect addition to the squad:

Eriksen will have just six months left on his contract in January so he will likely cost a lot less than the £70m that Spurs reportedly demanded for the Dane last month.

United’s lack of creativity in the final third at the start of the campaign is said to have prompted the club to consider signing another playmaker. Jesse Lingard has struggled in the role and Juan Mata is nearing the end of his career.
