Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the four clubs who are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz, according to reports in the UK.
The 20-year-old was in impressive form for his club on Monday night as he scored a brace in a 4-1 win over Werder Bremen. Despite his performances though, fans on Twitter have questioned whether the Red Devils would need the German international:
German Dele Alli

Great player but we don’t need him. We have… pic.twitter.com/luBmMRLEXp

Can't see it happening imo. Priority is Sancho and it's been clear for ages the club want Grealish as the creative midfielder.

I'll take him over grealish tbh.

We have Bruno, no need for Havertz

No need of him tbh

Doesn’t fit into our system, he’s more of a second striker then an attacking midfielder

Havertz is miles ahead of Grealish, hope there's some base to this report

Bayern Bound surely

He will cost far too much for someone who wouldn't start for us, no sense in getting him unless we sell Pogba

There is no doubt that Havertz is an outstanding young talent but, it does appear that Leverkusen would be holding out for a very large fee for the player.
Reports have suggested that the Bundesliga side won’t consider offers below €100m, and if that is indeed the case, United will probably seek out other targets with a sizeable portion of their transfer budget likely to be devoted to signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
In an ideal world, Havertz would probably be a better alternative to Jack Grealish or James Maddison but his price is likely to be too steep.
