Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho‘s goal against Leeds means he now has four goal involvements from the bench this season.
That number is the most of any player in the Premier League, and fans on Twitter have been debating whether the Argentinian international should exclusively be used as a substitute going forward:

Garnacho SO much better when he comes off the bench 4 me right now.More explosive. Sancho obviously still building up his minutes.Pellistri is a great option 4 RW when Sancho tires.Thank Heaven Casemiro is back 4 Barca & the Cup Final. Can’t wait 2 see Sabitzer alongside him #mufc

& he's 18 💀 yet you've got people writing him off last game but they'll cheer for average asf players who are pushing 30, have been in the 1st team for years & look like they belong in the Championship

Garnacho is certainly making a big impact when manager Erik ten Hag puts him on as a sub. It is interesting to see that out of the three goals and five assists he has managed in all competitions this campaign, only one has come when he was named in the starting eleven.
Whether that is because he simply hasn’t started enough games, it’s difficult to tell. Garnacho has been named as a starter on eight occasions, while he has been a substitute 15 times. From the small sample size, though, it seems like he is currently a great super sub.
