GALLERY: Four Alternatives To Jadon Sancho If United’s Move For England Star Falters

Manchester United’s interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is well documented but a transfer in the summer still has some major obstacles to overcome.

The 20-year-old is likely to cost upwards of £120m, and there are a number of rivals, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid for the player.

Although United appear to be frontrunners for Sancho, the club have no doubt been looking at potential alternatives if, for some reason, they fail to land the England international.

Press the “next page” as we highlight four players the Red Devils have been linked with in recent months who could be considered if Sancho doesn’t move to Old Trafford.

Ferran Torres

The Spaniard is the same age as Sancho, but with just over twelve months left on his contract at Valencia, he will be available for a substantially lower price than the Dortmund star.

Torres’s six goals and seven assists this campaign do pale in comparison to Sancho’s numbers, but he does have massive potential, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich said to be tracking the winger.

Martin Odegaard

The Real Madrid starlet has been ripping it up on loan at Real Sociedad, and despite being around for a fair few years, the Norwegian international is still only 21 years of age.

Odegaard can play from the right-hand side, as well as a number 10, with the midfielder having scored seven goals and contributed eight assists in 28 appearances this season.

Richarlison

The Brazilian international is now 22 years old but he would still cost less than Sancho and has already proven himself to be a more than decent forward in the Premier League.

Richarlison can play right across the front three, and he would certainly compliment the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. 12 goals in 32 games for Everton this campaign is also not a bad return.

Kai Havertz

The German prodigy would probably cost the same amount as Sancho, but the 20-year-old is used to playing from the right-hand side, as well as in more central positions.

Havertz’s 10 goals this season is a reduction on the 20 he managed last campaign but he does have massive potential and would certainly present a viable alternative if he was interested in a move to Old Trafford.
