“From What I’m Told…” Fabrizio Romano Delivers Update On United’s 80M Double Transfer Raid

Axel Disasi

Manchester United are not in talks to sign Monaco defender Axel Disasi or Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist says the Red Devils haven’t entered negotiations for the pair, despite speculation about the club’s interest over the past month:

“At the moment, from what I’m told they’re not negotiating for Mohammed Kudus or Axel Disasi.”

Earlier in January, it was reported that United had begun discussions with Monaco about signing Disasi, but that doesn’t appear to have been the case.

The France international is believed to be valued at around €50m (£44.5m), having made his debut for his country at the World Cup. Tottenham, West Ham and Arsenal have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the centre-half.

Kudus, meanwhile, could cost approximately €40m (£35.5m), with his impressive performances for Ghana out in Qatar bringing him to the attention of Premier League teams, including United and Liverpool. As things stand, though, it appears Erik ten Hag’s side won’t be making bids for either player this month.
