Manchester United have decided against pursuing Gareth Bale in the summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The Welshman had been widely touted as a summer transfer target for the Red Devils but it is believed the club now have other priorities.
Bale turns 30 in July and despite being pursued previously by United, they have now turned their sights towards Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho who they see as an excellent addition to the squad.
Fans on Twitter are divided over whether the club should go after Bale:

Only reason we’re not going for him is because of his age.

It’s likely that Bale would be available this summer, but his injury record and his age, make him a far less attractive target than in the past.
Real manager Zinedine Zidane only named him on the bench for the 1-1 draw against Leganes on Monday and despite making 39 appearances this season, he has not had a great campaign by his standards, scoring 14 goals and providing just five assists.
