Fernandes, Cavani And Pogba To Start, Greenwood Benched: United’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool

After making wholesale changes for the Leicester game last night, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to recall most of his first-team players for the clash against Liverpool tomorrow.

Dean Henderson is likely to be named ahead of David De Gea in goal, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw coming back into the side as the two fullbacks.

Captain Harry Maguire’s injury means Eric Bailly could well keep his place, with Victor Lindelof the likeliest candidate to partner him in the centre of defence.

In midfield, the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes are all likely to be named in the starting lineup, with Nemanja Matic, Donny van de Beek and Juan Mata all making way.

The trickiest decision for Solskjaer will be up front. Edinson Cavani is expected to lead the line, but he may go with Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford on the wings, leaving no room for Masson Greenwood, despite his goal against Leicester.
