Fernandes And Maguire Nominated For PFA Award After Starring In February

Manchester United picked up seven points from their three Premier League games in February, and two of the standout performers for the Red Devils were new signing Bruno Fernandes and captain Harry Maguire.

Fernandes required no settling in period after joining from Sporting Lisbon in January for £67m, scoring a penalty in the 3-0 win over Watford, whilst also providing an assist against the Hornets, as well as in the 2-0 victory versus Chelsea.

Maguire, meanwhile, led his side to three clean sheets during the same period, with the 26-year-old having become a key player since his £80m switch from Leicester City in the summer.

Despite only having been at United for a short space of time, they are already integral figures for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Both players are certainly fully deserving of their nominations for February’s PFA Player of the Month Award.
