‘Far From The Only Club’ Report Claims That United Will Need To See Off Two Teams In Race To Sign Brazilian Ace

Manchester United could be joined by Real Madrid and Barcelona in the battle for Everton forward Richarlison, according to Goal Brazil.

The website believes that the Red Devils are genuine contenders to sign the 24-year-old but they are “far from the only club” interested in the striker.

Richarlison is said to be a target for United as they consider replacements for Edinson Cavani, who is expected to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.

A number of other strikers have been linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent months, including the likes of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Benfica’s Darwin Nunez and even Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

However, Richarlison is someone that Goal claim “would fill a major void up front”. The Brazilian international will not come cheap, though, with Everton expecting a “hefty” fee even if they are relegated. In addition to Real and Barca, there could also be competition from other Premier League clubs, with Arsenal having been mentioned as potential suitors recently. We shall see whether United do firm up their interest in the player.
