Manchester United will complete the signing of Atalanta winger Amad Diallo “in the next few days”, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Sharing a photo from the teenager’s Instagram which hints that the 18-year-old is flying to Rome ahead of a flight to Manchester, Romano said that the Red Devils are very close to snapping up the player:
Amad Diallo is now flying to Rome. He’ll complete paperworks and documents to join #mufc, then when everything will be completed [in the next few days] he’ll fly to Manchester. 🔴 #ManUtd @Amaddiallo79 pic.twitter.com/sTQ4BjBuXR

There had been concerns regarding work permits but it does appear that everything is now in place for Diallo to seal his £37m switch to Old Trafford before the end of the week.
Fans have been anticipating the Ivorian’s arrival since the move was first announced back in October, and it will be interesting to see whether manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes him part of the first team setup straight away.
Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has suggested that he would like to have Diallo back on loan for the remainder of the season but it is believed that United will not consider such a proposal.
