‘Every Time’ ‘Refused To Leave His Pocket’ Fans Praise United Player Who Didn’t Let City Star Out Of His Sight

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka put on a superb defensive display as the Red Devils secured a well-deserved 2-0 win over archrivals City yesterday evening.

The 23-year-old has had a number of battles with Raheem Sterling over the past couple of years, and he came out on top once more at the Etihad Stadium. Fans on Twitter were quick to pay tribute to the defender after the game:

Wan-Bissaka may not always provide much in the attacking third of the pitch but the fullback is perfectly suited for when United sit back and play on the counter.

He didn’t let Sterling out of his sight all evening and while the City forward did get one or two chances from crosses, he very much came off second best in the one-on-one battles with Wan-Bissaka.

On his day, the Englishman is impossible to get past and he once again had Sterling in his pocket.
