Professional footballers love scoring goals but Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay took things to another level after Daniel James scored the Red Devils’ ninth goal against Southampton.
The Scotland international can clearly be seen telling a teammate to pick the ball out of the net, with the 24-year-old clearly looking for the team to break the Premier League record:
Ruthless ??

It was quite an extraordinary result last night and, although you have to put things into context with Southampton down to nine men, the team still had to perform and put the goals away.
It is typical of United’s inconsistency that this record-equalling win came just a week after losing at home to bottom of the table Sheffield United but, hopefully, they can now continue in this vein in upcoming games.
