Dutch Star Offers United Hope Of Sealing £50m Transfer

Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek has denied reports that he has an agreement in place to move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be an admirer of the young Dutchman’s talents and the Red Devils have considered making an offer for the midfielder but Real have always been favourites in the race to sign the player. Even so, van de Beek has said nothing has been decided on his future yet:

“There is nothing signed. There is no contract. That is the status.”

It is thought that United would offer in the region of £50m to sign van de Beek. The 22-year-old has been in excellent form this season, having scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 27 appearances.

The Dutch international could be seen as a possible alternative to Bruno Fernandes who United have been trying to sign over the past week. Currently, though, the move has stalled with the Portuguese international’s club Sporting demanding £68m for the midfielder, which is above the Red Devils’ £55m valuation.
