‘Don’t Think He Is Fast Or Fit Enough’ ‘He Will Come Good’ Fans Worried About Form Of United Summer Signing

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho was substituted midway through the first half after Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s sending off in the 2-1 defeat to Young Boys last night.

While he shouldn’t be judged on 37 minutes of football, he didn’t really have much of an impact on the match, and it has been a similar story in the four other games he has played since signing from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Supporters on Twitter are very much split in terms of what they think of Sancho’s start. Some are worried about his poor form while others believe he simply needs time to settle into his new club:

It’s fair to say that fans were expecting a bit more from the £73m recruit. However, there are mitigating circumstances we have to consider. Sancho was laid low after contracting the virus before the start of the season.

That has probably impacted on the 21-year-old’s performances, whilst he hasn’t been given a full 90 minutes to show what he can do. Hopefully, he’ll get a goal or assist in upcoming games and ease concerns about his start to life at United.
