Done Deal – Bastian Schweinsteiger is Manchester United’s Player

Manchester United have managed to make one of the most impressive moves in probably the last decade by signing World Cup and Champions League winner Bastian Schweinsteiger. According to the team’s official website, the German international will be joining the team soon as there are some minor formalities that need to be processed before the midfielder starts training.

The 30 year old is expected to be a massive hit for United who needed a midfielder right in front of Fellaini. Germany’s captain who has won 25 trophies in his entire career and played 500, yes 500 games for Bayern Munich is now moving to the Premier League. In his years spent playing in the Bundesliga, he provided 101 assists and scored 68 times. This man is a legend and even though he might have gone under the radar for some, he is still the World Cup Winners’ captain. Apparently the transfer fee is around £22million which could prove one of the most brilliant moves in recent history. He has agreed to a 3 year deal with Manchester where he is expected to be Van Gaal’s first choice right from the start of the season.

Some might say he is no longer motivated. It is a very small chance that that is the case. He is a true professional and he has never looked unfocused on the pitch. It is very likely that the Premier League will be a challenge for him, a challenge that he is looking to win. Bastian Schweinsteiger is a leader and a player that is definitely going to improve Manchester United’s game. The only downside is that he will be doing so for just a few years as he is already 30.
