“Disrespectful. Wrong. Ungrateful. In That Order” Reaction To United Target’s Controversial Banner Could Force January Exit

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale’s decision to pose with a flag that questioned his commitment to his current club has not gone down well in Spain.

Madrid’s main sports publication Marca went with a frontpage headline yesterday responding to the banner stating “Disrespectful. Wrong, Ungrateful. In That Order.”

Relations between Bale and Madrid have become increasingly strained over the last six months, and this latest controversy will prompt more questions about his future.

With his time at Real surely coming to an end, a move back to England is looking more and more likely. Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been suggested as potential destinations for the 30-year-old, but there is not one standout candidate at the moment.

Bale’s injuries have hampered him increasingly over the years, and it is one of the reasons why he has such a strained relationship with Real and its fans. Will anyone take a gamble on him? We shall have to wait and see.
