Dimitar Berbatov Predicts The Result As United Face Crystal Palace

Ex-Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is expecting a comfortable victory for the Red Devils when they travel to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

The Bulgarian says he was disappointed with his former team’s draw against Southampton last time out and he fully expects them to be on their game versus the Eagles:

“If Man United lose this one and the other teams pushing for top four win then it will be very difficult for them to achieve their goal.”

“I know they will be fired up for this on though, and they will know exactly what is at stake, I don’t think they will let themselves miss another opportunity like they did against Southampton.

“I hope they can win this one and push on into the top four because I really want to see them in the Champions League again.”

Berbatov has gone with a 3-0 win for United. Considering Palace have only conceded 17 in their 17 home games this season, that may be an optimistic prediction.

The Eagles do struggle for goals at home, as well as being difficult to break down, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will need to be patient to open the scoring, but you would still expect the away side to come away with the three points.

If they do secure the win, they could move above Leicester in the table if the Foxes fail to win at home against Sheffield United tonight.
